Postcards From Flannel Jam 2026

Flannel Jam is our celebration of Fall in New England - the chance to take Levitate on the road for a long weekend through some of our favorite small venues with big Fall energy. We hit a sold out Saturday closing out the season at home in the Levitate Backyard, spent Sunday spent hauling a festival onto Nantucket, and Monday snagging one last Summer sunset (and a few waves!!) at Cisco Brewers.

Here's how the weekend went down, postcard by postcard.

Saturday in Marshfield

Crowd packed in front of the Levitate Flannel Jam stage in the Levitate Backyard on a fall afternoon in Marshfield

The Flannel Jams in The Levitate Backyard in Marshfield have been amazing over the last few years - sending off another Summer season in Marshfield with all of our crew, friends + family. Hot spiked cider, cider donuts, art vendors (including new fan favorite Otis Hats making custom lids), plus good shopping and a fun lineup:

Morrissey Blvd showed up fresh off the road after months of touring the country in Kelly, their van. These kind souls are exactly the kind of songwriter spirit the Levitate Foundation exists to back and it was great to catch up with them.

Zach Seabaugh brought his love of the outdoors (he may be the only musician we've ever had who's hiked the entire AT) and fit right in. Steph Strings came all the way from Melbourne to share some songs, and Evan Honer, joined by Sierra Carson and Timmy Skelly, dove into the first night playing as a group.

We were stoked to release limited edition Levitate x Evan Honer collection for attendees at Flannel Jam: the remaining quantities are available online, while they last.

Sunday: Building a festival 30 miles out to sea

Brant Point Lighthouse on Nantucket with the ferry passing behind

Sunday was moving day. The crew loaded up, caught the ferry to Nantucket and spent the day at Cisco building out the stage, the merch shop and everything in between - ladders, pennants and a box truck unloaded well after dark and in another early-season Nor-Easter. As our friends at Cisco put it, we brought our "entire production team 30 miles out to sea."

Sunday night also brought the first-ever Flannel Jam pre-party at The Gaslight, where Steph Strings played a free show in one of the coolest, most intimate rooms on the island.

Monday morning: Surprise surf sesh

Evan Honer and a friend checking the surf from a dune behind Cisco on Nantucket

We had seen the surf forecast in advance and had thrown out a lighthearted offer to take Evan surfing if he wanted...he was into it and lo and behold the forecast came together (almost a little too much). Before doors on Monday, we grabbed a couple of softtops that we had stashed in the production truck and took Evan out behind Cisco, about half a mile from the venue. The surf was cranking and there were definitely some moments of questioning.

Evan spent his college years as a diver and had surfed a handful of times, so getting wet was never going to be the problem, but October New England with the biggest surf we've had in the months is a different story for most souls. He went for it anyway, and after some beatings, he caught a couple and came away as probably the only headliner to surf overhead beachbreak before his set.

Hats off to Evan for going for it and making some fun memories.

Monday at Cisco: The sun sets on Summer

Cisco Brewers might be the best place on Earth, and it's always a pleasure to help round out the season with their incredible community. Doug & Co. (Nantucket's finest Dead band, led by our good friend Doug), Sam Burchfield, Steph Strings and Evan Honer set the tone on the wrap-up party to another Summer on Island.

Huge thanks to Cisco for being such great hosts and for cultivating a community like no other. In their words: "Lineups come and go with the seasons. Cisco x Levitate is here for the long haul." We couldn't agree more.

Thank YOU to everyone who came out, and to the crew who pulled off two shows in three days through some nasty weather - traveling on ferries, trucks and beyond to make it happen.
