This garment was made with the hardworking hands and creative minds of New Englanders who are continuing a heritage of ingenuity and quality that has stitched communities together for over 400 years. The 100% woolen fabric is woven in a long-shuttered but recently revived mill in Connecticut, cut + sewn by hand in Massachusetts, and designed in the Levitate Design Studio in Marshfield, MA. This shirt represents a piece of the past and is designed to stand the test of time, sewing together generations around creativity, connection to nature, and community well into the future.

For generations, New Englanders have trusted wool to get them through unforgiving winters, rugged coastlines, and long days outdoors - and for good reason. Wool is naturally warm, breathable, moisture-wicking, and incredibly durable, making it one of the original performance fabrics long before “performance wear” existed. The wool for this fabric is handselected from the most stringent fiber qualifications to provide a strong, tightly woven fabric.

The fabric for this Shirt Jacket begins its life in a Connecticut mill - a historic workshop that once stood silent but has since been thoughtfully revived by craftspeople committed to preserving New England’s textile heritage. Inside its walls, skilled weavers bring traditional looms back to life, blending time-honored techniques with modern precision to create a fabric that’s as authentic as the region it comes from.
